Was talking with a fella the other night. He mentioned a local brake maker that says as much as 30* FORWARD angle on the baffles make no difference in recoil reduction.

Any tho'ts?

Sorry for such a boring guestion but I'm stuck in Seattle??

I know I use a brake with a forward angle (not sure what angle) and it does an excellent job of reducing felt recoil. When using a forward angle, I know it helps to have surface area. In other words, if youre using a very light barrel, the brake needs to be larger for 2 reasons. 1: So it doesnt explode on you and 2: The increased surface area that the gasses pass through increases the effectivness of the brake. I am extreemly pleased with my forward angle brake for 2 reasons, it is very effective and 2 it doesnt give me a cuncussion or the guy next to me at the line when the hammer drops.
