Bozeman bears

New to the Bozeman area, looking for any info on good areas to hunt bears nearby long range.

The Bridgers, Crazies, and the canyon toward West Yellowstone has bears. Our bear numbers in the Paradise valley are not as strong as they once were. I would guess that any place that has lots of wolves is also seeing this. Do you hike or horse hunt? I am not sure if a guy can take a wheeler or bike in any of that country anymore, but The Taylors Fork is some big open country.

I don't have my horses out here yet. But do have my quad and good tread on my boot soles. Hahaha.

I've seen several nice bears up Squaw Cr (in the canyon heading toward Big Sky) Of course, never during the season... There's some cabins up there you can rent that are pretty handy as a home base for hunts as well.

Rooster is spot on about avoiding the wolf infested areas if you're looking for bears. They don't play nice together.
