Boring Scope Rings???

With so many good rings out there, I dont really know why id be tempted to try these

Because if they are like ARC, they are superior to 87.2% of the rings out there. Theses don't quite look as "beefy" as ARC but for the right rifle they should be great. There are way to many mediocre rings.

I've been using Hawkins ultralight for several years. I like the lightness of the rings and the built in level. Then I saw the Boring SARV that were advertised like an ounce lighter. I'm trying to build an NRL open light and looking for places to save to be able to use a ckye double or triple pull. The Boring are advertised at like 3.5 oz. and I got the 35mm to go with a lupey 3-18 mk 5. When the rings arrived I put them on my scale, they ended up being 4.1oz. Not what was advertised but still less than ultralights.

Super easy to level, very light, built in level and the seem more than tough enough. Might be my new favorite for bolt guns.

I like the sounds of that. Thank you for the reply. How do you feel about the robustness? Do they seem stout enough to handle heavy recoil and abuse of a hunting rifle?

Rings are a tube clamp. Leveling isn't hard or needing ultra precision (use a scope mounted level). I have no beef with these rings, I just don't see it as innovative and/or worth the price they charge. Doesn't mean they won't work.

They are better. From an engineering viewpoint that are far and above. Like I said ARC rings are a gold standard in the rings department. I have proven them. So as I referenced " if they are like ARC" they should be great!
Some people like Honda accords I prefer something little better. If you do not agree with my argument ask hmmm, Lance Kenyon. Even though he struggles to mount them correctly and my ocd couldn't resist. Please push that in. I don't want to see a Theta marked up.

Funny because I put on the back burner a scope ring design for xbolts that was to become more like borings but needed some more love. Sorry to detract to the op.

I can respect this. Although its not really that hard to level a scope and keep the reveal even and top cap level it is sort of a pain in the arse. I can respect a system that makes that irrelevant. The price is arguably not far off any of the other top brands.

This is what I'm looking for! I do not use ARC or any other brand that utilizes one screw to secure the rings around the scope but is the 55 in/lbs because they only use one screw?

I have probably 8-9 sets of the ARC M-10 or M-Brace rings. They are my go-to ring now. I use to run Seekins on everything, but I haven't bought another set of Seekins for my personal scopes since I started using ARC.

I was nervous about the 55in/lbs for the ring screw at first. But after trying them, I have not had one leave a mark or dent in any scope. 30mm, 34mm, 35mm, or 36mm.

What I DO like about the ARC rings is they are beefy, and don't flex. I am not sure how these rings would flex, seeing as how the appear to have a thinner and longer side. The ARC has the pivot point halfway up the ring, making the lower half more beefy.

Probably not referring to this design vs the standard horizontal split rings. Just the QUALITY of the ARC Rings being better than 87% of other rings. There are a LOT of absolute junk rings out there. There are, relatively speaking, very few high quality rings out there.
