What is the best stem for Berger 6mm 105 vld hunt bullets? Redding 30 cal VLD stem?

First, clean inside of the die thoroughly. Then, put a dab of Prussian blue on tip of the bullet, seat it. If no blue appears in bottom of the plug, you are good to go, and need nothing.

I was wondering why tubb was putting the 30 cal stem on his 6xc seaters so I tried it on my 6 lapua and it does have a better fit that is closer to the ogiv in the 6mm vld. And it don't require polishing so it don't stick like the 6mm vld stem.

I've been using the 6mm 105 bergers in my 243 win seating with the forster bench rest seater (not the micrometer version) with great success. In fact it seams better with the vld's than with the more standard profile bullets like the hornady v-max's I'm playing around with.
