Bergera 17 HMR CR

I was in Scheels the other day in GF and they had a Bergara 17 HMR with a Carbon Wrapped barrel and a synthetic stock (of some kind).

Dang the bugger felt good to me! Be a great truck rifle for me for chucks, pd's etc.

I've zero knowledge on a lot of things but for darn sure I don't know anything about Bergara rifles.

Are they worth a hoot?

I got one of the 22lr HMR CR rifles. I cannot image any rifle that would shoot better.

Bergara BMR has good reviews and felt good in hand. I didn't buy because the salesman said it is designed for NRL22 so the scope rail is machined to 30MOA.

if youre going to buy a bergara in 17hmr make sure its the B14R model. Not the BMR.

Bergara BMR has good reviews and felt good in hand. I didn't buy because the salesman said it is designed for NRL22 so the scope rail is machined to 30MOA.

If one is shooting gophers as close as 20 yards it does present issues with scope options.
