Hey guys I'm new to the vld bullets. I just picked up some 180 grain vlds and would like to try them. My rifle has a 9 3/4" twist and a 26 inch barrel. It's a 7mm rem mag. Do you think my rifle will stabilize them? I plan on using them for super long range:800 yards and beyond. Thanks

yes it should.... I shoot the 168 grain VLD in my 7mm Rem Mag.

Look at my post "retumbo powder pressure signs"

type your question in the search and you'll find all kinds of info here....

Berger recomends a 1 in9" My remington BDL 7 RM has a 1 in 91/4", I have been told they should work. I've shot the 168g VLD without any problems. WOuld like to try the 180g VLD for the higher BC. Let us know if they work for you.

i just read a post where someone said they couldn't get the 180's to stabilize with a 10 twist. might have been over on PLRH.
