Can anyone Help me out on a barrel twist question? I am wanting to reload with some berger Bullets. I wanted to run some 168's But with a faster twist rate the 180's are recomended. With a tighter twist can i still shoot the lighter bullet, or should i go with the 180gr?

Thats what i thought, but on the website, a 168gr bullet needs a 1:10 twist, while a 180gr needs a 1:9. Slower twist for a faster bullet? thats where my confusin is at.

A 1 in 9 is turning the bullet one revolutin in 9 inches of barrel were a 1-10 does one revolution in 10 inches there for the 9 twist spins it faster. the smaller the number when talking twists is faster.

I understand the twist. I am just curious if i can shoot the 168gr bullet with a faster thn recomended twist.
