Newbie question,
On my Leupold BDC it has two rows of numbers, the top row represents the calibrated yardage marks as I understand it, what does the bottom row mean? My example: BDC for 300 Mag., 1 click = 1 min., 1-10 on top row, 0-60 on bottom row. If I want more accuracy at longer ranges is there a way to use this cam?
thanks, Kevin

It is not that it does not make sense. It is mainly that I have not ever seen the exact knob.

Take your question and go to the Leupold web site and use their "product specialist" email and ask them the question if no one on this site knows the answer.

Kevin,

You have a 3.5-10 LRT M3, the top row 1-10 represents 100 of yards based on certain ballistics for a 300 Win, the bottom row is 0-60 in increments of 5 and represents the number of MOA you are on. This is a good deal since the caliberation at longer distances is seldom spot on, this allows you to develope a drop chart based on whole minutes of angle if in fact the 1-10 cam marks don't work with your rifle / load combo.

Shawn,
That is what I was hoping to hear. I am guessing that the only to develope a drop chart is to shoot at all different ranges to determine the bullet drop at those distances? Thanks, I feel I am getting closer to understanding some of the long range shooting.
Kevin

Do you have a ballistic program ?

If not, post your altitude, temp, fps, bullet size, bullet weight, sight in distance, sight height above bore, and we can get you a drop chart to start out with....

Yotes2call, thanks,
The rifle is a 300 WSM. It has the "300 mag" cam on the scope.

Altitude--7700 (hunting area), 120 (home)
Temp.-----40 ( best guess of avg. tenp.)
FPS-------2950 ( I think I read this on bullet website)
Bullet Diameter- .308
Ballistic Coefficient- .509
Bullet weight- 180
Sight in Distance- 200 yards
Sight hieght above bore- 1.5 (i think)

these are what you need, I think!! Let me know.

Kevin
