Does anyone else find Barnes published load data on the TSX a little low? I checked their 30-378 data for a 180TSX using Retumbo t be very low. I'm shooting 111grn of Retumbo behind the 180 TSX with no signs of excessive pressure and a velocity of 3450.

I use the data in the Barnes manual #3. The info supplied with the TSXs tell us to work off the X bullet data.
I'll start a couple grains under X bullet max and work up in .5 gr increments to a load no more than 2 grs over listed X bullet max.
If this doesn't get you where ya wanna be try a different powder.
Also start with seating depth about .50 off the lands.

While I dont own a 30-378 just for fun when I get home Im going to do a lil comparison between vol 2, 3 and 4 with a powder all these volumes have for the 30-378 just to look at the differnces...granted we must keep in mind vol 2 is XBT or BT...vol 3 has the XLC....and now we have the TSX. dang gotta go!
