Bang for your buck

I would consider one of the mil spec remingtons in 308 or 300 win mag. they come from the factory with a heavy barrel with 5r rifling, a nice stock with aluminum bedding block and from what I've heard or seen, atleast the 308 is a tack driver. they go for about a grand. either one would get you out to 600 easily for deer and the win mag would do the job on just about anything in north america.

Rifle: 300 Win Mag
Scope: Nikon Monarch X 4-16x50mm (30mm tube)
Scope Base: 20 min rail (I use Seekins aluminum rail and rings)
Defensive Edge Angle Cosine Indicator & Level
Harris Bipod with a pod loc (do not forget to get a rear bag)
Have the stock pillar bedded, barrel channel free floated.
2lb trigger job.
Swaroski Laser Range finder
Pocket PC to run a ballistics program
hand held weather station to get the barometric pressure.

Man that is a lot of crap, no wonder my pack is so heavy.:D

title is bang for your buck has to go savage accurcy out of box wins flexablity of barrel swap i like the way remmy action cycles but accurcy goes to savage imo i own both if you have a rem tured your now on par with savage i think a short mag would be right up your alley any will get the job done i 6.5x55 swede would be good to
