B. Rizzini Sideplate

I decided i wanted to get myself a nice O/U shotgun and came across a used Rizzini Sideplate supposedly from 1995 or so. I know very little of Rizzini but enough to know what i found was a great deal. I have not received the shotgun yet but its on its way. Does anyone know much about these B Rizzini american imports? Im very excited to get my hands on it since it is a very pretty shotgun in pictures

I have these but i will take more when i get my hands on it. It was imported from italy to some place in Arizona

there are a few rizzini's making guns in Italy, I think most rizzinis are now imported by fierce rifles unless things have changed in the past few years.

not sure if the rizzini b group is importing with the standard rizzini that come through Utah.

pretty standard Italian doubles, they tend to put more emphasis on wood and engraving than others at that price point do, not a fan of their earlier inertia system and they've switched the newer models to a simple mechanical almost as a backup in the last decade but they're not bad guns. don't switch the barrel selector with the safety off,
I've seen a pile of them bend the selector leg when the safety is off and it's engaged the tails and someone tries to switch barrels. then it either misfires or doubles till it gets corrected. they mostly fixed that years ago but Im still cautious

won't be much factory service in the US compared to Beretta or browning if something goes sideways and parts may be a pain to source even from the importer but they're pretty serviceable.

B. Rizzini sideplate O/Us from the mid 90s are solid Italian made guns well regarded for good fit finish, nice engraving, and reliable mechanics for the money. They were imported under several names back then and are considered a step above basic boxlocks but below high end Berettas Browning Citoris in prestige.

They shoot well, hold up nicely over time, and the prettier sideplate models like yours look fantastic. Resale is fair but not stellar.

You got yourself a handsome, quality shotgun at a great deal. Once it arrives, enjoy it you should be very happy with it. Congrats!
