Has anyone really used these in the field yet? I currently have a atx 85 and was thinking about trying to shed some weight. It's nice that they have the same eye piece so phone adapters still fit on them. Just curious what some of you think. I've seen a fair amount of reviews but not much on comments from the field. Thanks.

So far so good on my ATC…I think the optics are just as good as the ATX in the 65mm version, but far more compact and lighter than the ATX. One of the biggest things that I'm noticing is how much extra room in my pack I have now verse when I'm using the ATX that I also have. Glass wise I think they both looked the same to me comparing them side by side. If weight is the true issue for you then the ATC/STC fit the bill…but if it's not a serious issue save yourself some money and stick with the ATX you have, just get the 65mm lens. There will be some times where the larger lens will be appropriate and you don't want to not have that available to you.

I've used my ATC for a few months now and am very pleased. I got it for the ease of carrying/packing, to use at the range and other times when I don't want to haul my STX 95. I'm impressed with the eye relief and the clarity. I've only used it up to about 1.5 miles so far and don't feel I'm lacking anything at that distance.
