At what price do scopes become expensive in the U.S.

So maybe we can all agree to the OP's question that $2000-up is about the threshold for when scopes become expensive in america?
Obviously that is SUPER subjective to the individual's lifestyle and budget, but i was more taking about for all serious/competitor/professional something American shooters?
