AR 10 issue.

Shooting 47 grn reloader 17 with 200 gn Hornady xld's in a Ruger at 10. There are extractor marks on the bottom of the case. I'm thinking this is a load that's too hot for an AR though not for a bolt gun.

Based on my experience with Re-17 and the .308 Win cartridge, you're a bit over pressure. This will of course depend on how you have your Ruger set up with the adjustable gas block and the OAL of the cartridge with this heavy bullet which is long for its length.

My AR in 6.5 creedmoor runs over pressure and I generally can't get up to book max values without over pressure signs.
