another ring height thread

Looking for anyone that has a Bighorn Origin with a proof CF Sendero. Looking at mounting a NF Nx8 4-32X50 SFP on NF low rings (.885).

I know I can ask the MFG or even NF and that I should wait until I have the rifle complete (currently being chambered) but I am in the mood so was curious if anyone has a pic or can just say GTG on that ring height.

That ring height should work for you, but you'll be pretty close to the barrel. If you want it close, that is probably a good height.

You must be talking NX8. I used .885's and the power ring hit the rail. I switched to 1" and everything is good.

It's .078" from the rail to the power ring on 32x with 1" rings. Biggest you can go without hitting is .922". Unless you like it back that far then you won't have any problems.

I wasn't worried because I have NXS's with .885's and 56mm bells. Mounted the NX8 the same way and it bound up on the wrong end. Learning lesson.

I am assuming you have the Big horn origin with 20MOA and a proof Sendero. What is the gap between bell and barrel? thx

We have noticed the 2.5-20 will hit with lows, but the 4-32 is longer and clears.
