I ordered a heavy Bartlein 6mm ARC barrel, 26" with a 7.5 twist for target practice... mostly at 100 yards.
While I'm waiting for the barrel to be made, I'd like to get suggestions for load data so I can start searching for the powder and bullets.

Any suggestions for accuracy load data would be appreciated.

Not an expert by any means on this but if I were target shooting mostly at 100 yds I would not go with a 7.5 twist. The lighter flat base bullets like the Berger column would probably be the ticket for this and a 12 twist would be all you need. The longer heavier bullets (103-105 gr) would require the faster twist but would show an advantage at 300+ yds. JMO

Thanks cape cove for your reply.
The gunsmith turning my barrel does a lot of long distance work and he recommended a 7.5 twist incase I decide to shoot long range.

I'm looking for recommendations for powder and bullets for the 7.5 twist barrel since it may take a while for me to find the powder and the bullets in stock anywhere.

I found some Berger 88 gn match varmint bullets available and was wondering if I should buy a supply of them now or if something else might be better. It may be a few months before I get the barrel.
I'm wondering the same about the power.

I have a 6mm arc, and the 1-7.5 twist is the standard. It is the Sammi spec standard.

It is designed by hornady to be optimized for the 90gr eldx bullets and heavier. I shoot the 108gr eldm, factory ammo and the accuracy is unbelievable. It might shoot the 88gr just fine, but I suspect that you'd get better results with 100gr or heavier. I can't prove that, just my suspicion

Thanks for the recent replies.

I can get LEVERevolution, CFE223 and H4895 right now and was wondering if I should stock up on any particular powder (and bullets) before they're gone. I won't have my barrel for a couple of months so I can't test the different powders and bullets.

What powder are you using in your 7.5 twist with the 108 gn ELDM?
Have you tried lighter Berger flat base bullets?
My smith thought a flat base Berger around 90 gn. would work well in the 7.5 twist barrel.

I can't find any ELDM bullets available.

Thanks for sharing the videos. I had not seen that 6mm ARC video before.
Wish I could find some ELD M bullets available.

I can only find ELD M and ELD X at the local Academy Sports occassionally if i regularly check on days they get trucks

So has anyone tried running the 87gr Absolute Hammer's through the 6 ARC yet? Once things settle down and primers are more available I was thinking about picking up one with a 16" barrel for suppressed use and wanted to run the AH to make up the difference.

Try some Berger 105 hybrids. The Leverevolution powder works well with these and other bullets. My bolt gun likes the Hornady Black 105's. It'll shoot consistent .5 moa or better with them. It shoots the Hornady 108 match okay to but not as good as the 105's. Both of these groups was shot with factory Hornady 105 Black ammo. 4F8CB7B7-396F-44EC-A886-B4EF80AFCBB4.png

Thanks everyone for your replies to my original post. I received my Bartlein 6mm ARC barrel 6 months ago from Straight Jacket but I'm still waiting for the bolt face for my Nucleus (first gen) action to be made.

I'm still interested in hearing of any accuracy loads for 6mm ARC at 100 yards.
I'm hoping to shoot in the .2s.
