Roy, what causes tinnitus ?
Len there are a lot of theories floating around.
Proper nutrition is important but no one can clearly state what proper nutrition is.
Proper minerals in the diet helps, they say
Nervous tension, grinding teeth during sleep, snoring are generally accepted factors.
A noted fella told me that there are two very small little holes in the skull or something through which some nerves go that if deficient of certain minerals you'll get tints. He was selling the mineral concoction. I asked how much and decided I'd live with the tinnitus.
Loud noises definitely cause hearing loss. Each loud noise results in some herring loss. The loss accumulates with each noise.
I'm amazed that it is still gone. I'm more pumped about this than surviving cancer.
I had do do some shooting today and feared that the 270 AM would bring it back. However, 10 shots and I'm still tinnitus free. Radian ear protection, not the best I think, was used.
When shooting hearing protection is a MUST!!!!! The better the protection the better it is.
The funny thing is is that the tinnitus doesn't affect my hearing. My right ear is pretty dim from a too loud right speaker in a van that I drove for years plus my wife yelling at me about my driving. My left ear is good.
I've had this stuff for so long I'm afraid I won't be able to go to sleep tonight.
