A good friend needed a mid range rifle to hunt a decent buck this week that he located. He's just shy of 70 years old, so weight was a factor. Tough as nails fellow SF brother, just getting up in age.
I pulled my carbon 7 SAUM, put a lightweight for me scope on it, and zeroed it for him.

I've always liked this rifle. Built on our short Axiom with aluminum rail, knob, carbon barrel and stock.

Slinging 180 hybrids at 2,830.

Boresight shot, then three shots for zero. Took off 1/2 moa and called it good.
Another target from load development.

Nice. Good of you to help a brother too.

Joel, would you know the weight of the short Axiom with rail, and also the long Axiom ? Thinking about building a lighter weight rig.
Thanks,
