7mm rem mag loads

I will try the 4831 I just got this jar of h 1000 powder and wanted to burn it up. I would like to thank all you guys for the info, greatly appreciated.

if you are loading 145 grn you can use a 150 grain listing. But never go the other way the preasure build will not be plesant and may be dangerous.

i doubt you'll find a berger manual on store shelves yet, their available on bergers website

4350-4831 for 140-150 bullets

h1000- rl22 for 160-168gr

magnum, retumbo for 175+ bullets

My current 7RM load:

R-P case
F210 GMM primer
H4831sc @ 65.0 grains
Nosler 140 Accubond
AOL = 3.362" (at lands)

This load will shoot sub MOA (right at 2/3's MOA for me so far) at 100 and 200 yards.

Clocks just under 3100 FPS from my 26" barrel.

Worked on one 8pt buck this fall :)

I've also used H1000 in the past in my 7RM using a Nosler 150 BT. Had excellent results with it as well. Shot Sub-MOA, and accounted for a 7pt buck.

Rog

Since a 7mm rm is capable of 3350+fps with a 140grn pill in a 26" barrel, and accurately I might add. Why do you run them under 3100? I just saw some of the last data posted up, why waste powder in a 7mag when a 280rem/284win will do that with less powder in a 24" barrel.

Sorry 'bout the thread derail.....

Pretty simple bw83, if you must know....

I simply started my load development there with this particular rifle. After shooting the first few, I simply stopped there, due in part because of time constraints and the approaching deer season. Plus, I primarily hunt with handguns, and this rifle was my backup plan, and was also gonna be used by my wife during rifle season... that help with your question? :)

Do any of you guys have good loads that are shooting well out of a Sendaro 7 mm rem mag I'm wanting to load the berger 168 hunting vld best accuracy is what I'm looking for

Not the vld, but I worked up a load for the 168great classic hunter, with H100 and fed215M. They shot 1/2map and didn't seem to care much about seating depth, as for on game performance, I smacked a muley in the chest at 50yards found a hole going into the off side shoulder but only 1 small piece of the jacket, ripped the bottom off his lungs though

162 gr Amax
72.2 grs H-1000
Fed GM210
Brass -Rem
Seated .010 off lands
MV 3100 fps
Barrel 26" Hart #6
Group 1.5"@600 yds
Longest kill - whitetail @ 657 yds

Winchester, Federal, or Norma brass 168vld .010" off the lands

H4831sc use fed210M primer, start around 63.5grns and work up, pressure likely to be found around 68-68.5grns, if you get an ejector swipe back .5grns, that should put you at 3060fps +- 20fps.

H1000 start at 68grns with fed215Ms and work up, probably top out around 73grns, again when you see the swipe back off .5grns this should give you 3130fps +-20fps.

Retumbo use fed215Ms start at 69grns work up, probably top out around 74.5grns, may be compressed slightly, do the same as the others, if your rifle likes this bullet/powder combo you can safely and accurately run the 168s at almost or slightly over 3200fps, depends a lot on the barrel.

The 7mm rm is a great round, not quite as peppy as the weatherby but, most of the 2.495-2.549 length belted mags run at 64-65k psi, for some reason saami decided the 7mm rm should only be 61k psi which makes it seem like a terd, and with factory ammo it is, but when loaded right it is very respectable.

Hey all thought I'd add my 2 cents worth
I have a tikka t3 7mm mag 24 and 3/8 inch barrell,that's standard.
Bell and Carlson stock
Radial muzzle brake
Leupold vx-3L 6.5-20X56
Anyways back to the point,I run nosler custom brass, cci large mag primers,75.5gn adi 2225 or retubo for you people away from New Zealand or auz, pushing a 162 A-MAX seated at max tikka mag length doing 3075fps.
Works bloody well and no excessive pressure signs.
Groups well,consistent 1/2 MOA,drops sika deer well.
gun)

I tried H4831sc, H1000 and Retumbo on the 160grn, but the best powder for my rifle is IMR7828ssc.
