I have been searching for data where somebody tried this load and almost nothing.
I know most prefer the 120NBT or one of the 140 grain bullets and then it seems like everybody jumps straight to the 162 and 168s. I have some 154SSts and RL17 but I haven't put any together yet. I think my rifle will do 2.870" OAL but its tight. When I built my 140VLD load it grouped best at 2.885" or something like that and wouldn't feed and I didn't want to do singles. Would the 154s OAL be too long again? I have a 24" barrel and 1:9.5 twist and plan on using rem brass, Rl17 and could use **** near any of the primers. If somebody has quickload and would like to share some info I'd appreciate it. If it matters hunting elevation would be 3800 and temp around 65.
