70 Grain Accubonds in 22-250

Does anyone have a pet load for a 22-250, using 70 grain Accubonds? I was finally able to find some of these bullets and want to try some in my 22-250 for deer and antelope, now that Wyoming allows them for hunting.

Do you have the old slow twist rate? 1-14? Nosler says you want 1-8 to shoot anything that heavy.

Yep. I have the new, fast-twist barrel.

It's actually a 1-9" twist, but I think it will be fine. It looks like I will start with 36 grains of IMR 4831 and go from there.

Varget is your friend.....I'm running 31.5 grs for great accuracy.

I'm using H414 with great results with 75gr pills. I used a 64gr bonded Nosler this year on two white tails and it was impressive. I too am waiting for the 70 AB

I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. Maybe over my Christmas Break, I will get some rounds loaded up and I will report back.

37.5 grs of H-414
Been killing does and pigs out to 600

Shot 36.6 grs IMR4831 in my 8 twt 22-250 with 80 gr Berger VLD and 80 Sierra MK .... shot 3/8"-1/2" groups with no fuss. Actually grabbed load from older Sierra manual; it was their accuracy load.

Guessing you could work from 36 to maybe 38 grs with a 70 gr bullet. Good luck.
