Hi ya'll,

I'm new to the 7SS and can't find any RL26 so I'm trying to substitute a couple of powders to achieve good velocities but I'm struggling a bit. Shooting the Berger 180 Hybrid Target. I've tried H4831SC and H1000 and can't get past 2900 reliably. So far 58.5 grns of H4831SC at 2900 is my lowest ES. I have a 26" barrel. I've heard H1000 likes to be compressed. Could anyone share some load data so I can compare and see if I can make some adjustments. I'm seating .050" off at 3.324" Max OAL with comparator.

Thanks guys. I have a buddy with some 565 that I'm going to try. I may try some 168's as well and see how those shoot until RL-26 comes back (chuckle chuckle).

N565, CCI BR2, 184 Hyb, 2865fps from a 24" 1:8.4" Proof.

With RL26, I get 2940fps.
With H1000, I get 2810fps. But stupid accurate.
N570 was too bulky, and at a compressed load, never found pressure, and only hit 2830fps.
RL23 was in the mid 2800s.

I found Natchez has 8lbers of N565 in stock as well as H4350 if you want to get more for your hazmat fee. I'm going to get some N565 to test out with my 175gr ABLR.

Did you find any good loads over the last year that you were hap with?
No last fall I worked up a quick load with RL23 that shot well enough while fire forming. Then my basement flood when a pipe burst which is where my reloading room was. It's still not back together, so dont really had a place to reload. I'm going to have to set up something temp to get ready for my hunt next month.
