7 RSAUM Loads

Anyone have any loads worked up for a 7mm RSAUM? I have several 160-175 gr bullets on hand, but what has worked for you?

Hi 64.5gr H1000 with 160&162gr Projectiles and 63gr with a 175gr Sierra MatchKing and federal 215M Primers.

In my rifle 60.5 grs of Re-22 with the 160 gr Accubond or 162 gr Amax work well, this is 1 grain over book max so take the usual precautions.

I have been using 57.5 gr H4831SC and FEDGM 215M primers with the 160 gr Accubond. Shoots good, but is a bit hot.

This is just what I wanted to hear. I just bought a couple pounds of RL 22, H1000, H4831sc and H4350. The H4350 should be the ticket for the 140gr NP/TSX I plan on using for my point-blank hunting. I also picked up 400 of the 162gr AMAX for playing with as well. I figure if I get them started at about 2900 fps or so out of this little 22" barrel, I should be fine for all but shoulder-breaking shots at close range all the way out to the horizon. Well, the horizon might be a stretch, but the 500m range will not be an issue.

For punching paper and possibly the occasional deer/hog, what would ya'll say to the difference between using 140 and 150 gr NBTs? Both are relatively inexpensive for practicing and such, but with my range limit I do not see bc being that much of a concern. With that all said, what do you guys think?

Buy some 140's and 150's and shoot the one that groups the best i find if you stick to one load per rifle it is a lot easier to know where it shoots

A 140gr is ample to 500 yards

I was gonna say the same thing, pick one and shoot whichevers best. If you run the numbers on them, there pretty much identical. Its a toss up. Personally, I always like to have a nice "fast" 140g load for coyotes and deer in the 7mm cals, but thats just me. A 140g is enough for hogs and deer at 800 yards at least.

My best loads are, 58 grs. of h-4350-3100 f.p.s.140 gr. accubond. 67 grs. of h-1000 150 partition, 3067 f.p.s. 64 grs. h-1000 160 accubond,2920 f.p.s. 61 grs. 7828 160 speer, 2902 f.p.s.63.5 grs. of retumbo 175 gr. sierra gameking 2808 f.p.s. They all shoot so well I have'nt decided on which to stay with.
