Is this 72 grains of magpro? I broke down some of the 7mm PRC match ammo and this was the powder.

Looking at Hornady load data that seams odd for the 180 ELDM. The heaviest load they list for that bullet is 69gr of RL-25.

They list 68.3gr of Magpro for the 175.

I know. That's what threw me off. It was definitely 72 grains of something though. The case had no room in it with the bullet in it, don't know if it was compressed, but it could have been. At any rate there were faint ejector swipes on the brass when I fired it

Looks just like mine, except I had 72.5 grains in the one checked.
I have never used anything that looked like that.

No, I don't have my rifle yet.

The 175 ammo had 66.0-66.5 of something that resembled rl26.

The 180 and 175 ammo I tore down had RL26. Duplicating the charge duplicated the velocity and accuracy.

Ryan, any idea what that powder is in the picture?
It's sort of like spheres and discs.

I have never used a ball powder in a magnum so I can't say. I will say I have pulled down some 300 PRC and some have RL26 others have what appears to be the same as above. The ball powder loads are typically lower charge.

This seemed like a pretty high charge whatever it is. Although 2950 seems pretty much right in line with what they say this ammo would run
