6.5x284 Norma from a rem 721

Hello! I have a Remington model 721 chambered in 30-06. I am really wanting to build a 6.5x284norma and have read this action is applicable. Can anyone suggest some barrels? And specs? Wanting at least a 26" barrel in medium up to sendero contour and would like to shoot vld's or seirras with them seated way out to utilize case capacity. I have also read this is done in the chambering process. Is this true?

Kirby Allen turned my Rem 721 into an outstanding 270 Allen Magnum with a 30" Lilja barrel.

A properly contoured barrel from any of the reputable barrel manufacturers would be good.

There is no reason (other than the trigger, safety and the lousy extractor ) that your action wouldn't be near perfect for your choice of cartridges.
