6.5 Creedmoor & 123gr.Sierra hpbt

Anybody try the 123 gr.Sierra HPBT bullets in the 6.5 CM for deer hunting. I'm shooting them out of a Savage with a 22 inch barrel, muzzel vel. about 2800 fps.

I have personally never shot smk's at anything but prairie dogs but this question has been asked before and most experience the bullet just penciling through without expanding. I would suggest a expanding bullet for shooting at game, save the match bullets for paper.
