Had plans to build a 6.5 Sherman, but found a 6.5-06 barrel for my Sav 110 for $100, so grabbed it and put it together.
Have some 142 and 150 VLD's on the way (also bought some 140 Accubonds from a friend), but can't seem to find any data for the 150's. Don't have a lot of powder to choose from, but have 7828, H4831SC, H4350, H414/W760 and RL17 to try.
Any recommendations on where to start with the listed powders?

My last 6.5-06 was awesome with RL25, but probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding any up here in Canada.

I shot the 156 vulcan with H4831 start at 45 got to 51 and stopped I was at 2850 with a 25" My Hornady #9 has data for the 160 I started there.

Good luck and shoot straight

Bob

I can't help with the powders listed. I built a 6.5 Sherman and use N570 with 140 Bergers. Used it with the 150 Matrix as well. I know these 2 cases are different but the N570 May still work and is available in Canada. I agree about find any of the Reloader powders up here in Canada. You could also try H1000 and Retumbo.

Thx, will give the 4831 a try and see if I can find any of the others recommended. Not gonna hold my breath, but may get lucky and find a pound!
