44 mag Lever action itch

Wow,what a beauty!Too pretty to take into the woods!
I have an older Marlin 45-70 that shoots well.
Just reloaded some 350 gr Hornady round nose bullets I bought a long time ago for the great old 45-70.
I bet that Taylor will outshoot my Marlin

Hey Jim, bringing this back up to find out if you decided on a 44 magnum lever action?
I've pulled my Marlin 1894 44 out from the back of the safe to do a little doe hunting this year.
Hey bird dog,

I ended up getting a Henry BBS Side gate. Replaced the rear sight with a Skinner peep, and tall front. I hope you have success with your's. Best of luck.

Jim

Hope you enjoy the Henry! I've got a Marlin CB in .44 and two in .38/.357. The .44 is the shorty 20" barrel and I love it. My target loads shoot equally well in the rifle and my S&W .44 wheelgun.

That's a beautiful firearm.
I love levers! I've got these, my Dad's Marlin 336 .35 Rem, a Marlin Guide Gun .45/70 and I picked up a pretty rare Texan model in 30/30..

I had a Marlin JM half mag in a Mod 336 .35 Rem, a fantastic rifle I wish I'd never sold it, they were made for the Whitetail hunter... The Texan is sweet, that's a keeper. Cheers.
