Starting to work up some loads for my 358 Norma Mag. Started using IMR 4350 as that is what I have on hand. Using Nosler's data as I am using the 250gr partition. Also have some 250gr Hornadys and Speer bullets. What other powders is anyone using in they're 358 Norma's. What do you like best. Thanks.

Hi my load for my 358 Norma is
IMR 4350 — 76 grains with 250 grain partitions

Mine is 700 with a 26 inch Douglas barrel . It shoots right around 2800 fps and is a very accurate load . I have shot a moose and several deer and it flat out hammered the moose .

Cases fired through my rifle contained 91.8 grains of water, which reduces the pressure from the QuickLoad default of 88. These are the calculations after changing that for the load you cited.

I use 250 gr Barnes X when I can find them. I load 78.5 gr IMR 4350. It is a compressed load. Velocity is 2875 fps and energy calculates to 4580 ft/lb. Shoots sub MOA. I never had to use a second shot. I use a custom Husqvarna with 26"bbl. a 2-7X Leopold. I have hunted with this rifle for over 35 years. In timber and for mountain goat, moose, deer, elk and bear. I sight in for dead on at 200 yds. And that gives me point Blanc to 350. I have tried Speer spitzer as well as semi point and all bullets shoot well.
