was wondering if anyone has built one and velocity. i have a reamer and was thinking a 225 accubond at 3000 would be great, i am shooting 8mm rem mag and 220 hornadys at 3100 in a 27 in long tube,, thanks

I have heard it called an 338 Swamp Donkey before. search for that and see if you get any hits.
Here is a quote from one user, "I have a rifle being built in a .338 Swamp Donkey Mag. It is a 8mm Mag case stretched to its max and with a healthy dose of 4831 or 4350 it will push 250 SMK to 3330 fps in a 26" pipe!!! It will get 3000 fps + with the 300 SKM's, and 200 gr Ballistic tips Have been pushed to over 3600 fps with lots of room to increase powder capacity. This has all been done on a buddy's rifle with the the same configurations as mine will be. A Rem 700 La with a 26" Giallard Barrel and a McMillan A5 stock and a Leupold 6.5 x 20 x 50 Comps scope."
