I've got a 338rum Remmy Sendero, skim bedded HS precision stock, rifle basix trigger set at 1#, 26" polished bore barrel. Rem brass, fed215mag match primers.
I've found a sweet load shooting .25 moa
Question is, my velocities seem too high.
I was using Beta Master Chrony, no screens bright cloudy day
bar pres 29.9, temp 45 deg, 3200' elevation 40% humidity
using 225g accuBonds, 100.4 gr H1000 seated .050 off the lands.
Velocities were averaging 3220 fps
no signs of pressure, no primer flattening, no cratering, no hard bolt lift, no shiny marks on brass.
can i belive these velocitys?

I was also getting 3045fps out of my 300win mag
77.5 gr H1000, 200g Accubond (fed Brass)

From my messing around with a similar 338RUM here's what I'd consider:

I assume your groups are @ 100. Shoot at 300, 500 and 600 and check the drops to create a drop chart then don't look back....

The beta chrony w/o screens on a bright day when giving consistent readings is probably ok. It's when they are scattered that they are in question. I've found cloudy days good for no screens and use screen on bright days.

W/my chamber and barrel I can't approach those velocities or powder charge......

Probably just a uniqueness of you rifle. It sounds like a good one.
