338 Rum / 300 Rum (Split hairs please)

I read and reread you'alls advice on the other thread. I am still thinking about it all.

What are the advantages of the 300 Rum over the 338 Rum and vice versa?

Right off the bat, 30 cal bullets are endless and I already have several other 30 cal rifles. Just buy lots and lots of 30's and forget the 338s. That seems like an advantage for the 300 rum over the 338

Please comment, I am new and I have to read stuff twice and get explanations twice

The 30/338 is a .338 necked down to a .30 caliber,no where near the 300 RUM which is necked down from a .404 Jeffries.Just got my new custom gun in .300 RUM IMP and it is a dream.............

Why did you go with the 30 rum imp over the 338 rum? Any particular reason?
