338 Lapua h-1000 or Retumbo

Guys title says it all but I am likely to shoot the 300 SMK so what's your thought?

Also what if I change to a 250 grain bullet does anything change in terms of the above preference?

I would use Reloader 33. This powder really shoots in the 338 caliber. Matt

I had a .300 Lapua and ran H1000 in it, deadly accurate out to just over 1 mile. If I was shooting a big magnum still I'd try the RL33.

Guys are getting more velocity out of the RL 33. I use 90.0grs of H-1000 with great success in my 338 edge canyon rifle.

+1 on R 33 getting 2920 fps with 300 OTM'S 101 grs . With H-1000 90grs 2820 fps. No signs of pressure on either.

89 gr of H1000 and 300SMK is a 3/4 moa out to 1000 for me. Retumbo was a no go and have never got my hands on R33 so can't comment.

My load is a little hotter...start low and work up.

I don't like Retumbo's pressure spikes. H1000 is much better, and very accurate in all the rifles I shoot it in.
