I've been using a 175gr SMK with IMR4895, Lapua brass and I see Reloader manual mention a 190gr SMK with CFE223 powder and Lapua brass.
Want to experiment and try this instead of my current recipe, which is accurate on all short ranges (100-500yds).
Anyone use this recipe.

To be honest, by the time I am using heavier bullets and going out past 600 yards, I want to run extruded powders because they tend to give better performance both in terms of velocity stats and the vertical.

CFE is very easy to load and gave impressive velocity, but I don't find it competes with the extruded powders. I also liked the H4895 version a little better than the IMR version, but that is splitting hairs if you cannot get your hands on any....
