308 Norma mag Improved

Anyone one on here have anything to to do with this cartridge? Blown out to .495 on the shoulder. I have a set of RCBS dies for it, have a 30-338 win mag with a some throat issues so thinking of setting it back and rechambering it. Any thoughts? Will be on a commercial Mauser with a magazine length of 3.500.

No direct experience to share with you, but I like that idea. I have had a couple of 30/338 win over the years and currently enjoying an 24" 30/338 win. I expect that would be a relatively nominal change over the standard 308 Norma, maybe 100f/s? The biggest difference will be improved brass life, especially if you headspace it off of the shoulder rather than the belt.
