300wsm

Jeff, since you have not given any specifics it is prudent for us to direct you to the Hodgdon reloading data ( hogdon powder.com) and the short mag web pages. Overbore

Jeff, I just loaded some 300 WSM for a friend. He has a Weatherby Vanguard with 24" barrel. He shot the load yesterday and was impressed with the results. The three shot group measured .675 at 100 yards. Here are the componets I used;

1. Winchester Brass
2. Powder-62grns H4350
3. Bullet-Nosler 165 Partitian
4. Primer-CCI Magnum primers
5. C.O.L.- 2.820
6. Velocity was right at 2900fps
7.I uniformed the primer pockets, cleaned flash holes, weighed bullets, and checked for runout.

Prior to this load, I tried 64grn of H4350, but the 3 shot group measured more than an inch at 100 yards, not good. However, the above mentioned load with 62grns of H4350 worked great. Good luck!

Alot of people have had sucess with the 168gr TSX over IMR 4831. Loads seem to range from 65-69 gr. I am using federal large rifle magnum primers, but I know alot of people use the winchester LR magnum. Start low and work you way up.

I am headed to the range today to see how the 168's shoot, and will let you know.

I ended up with 5 shot 3/4 inch groups with 67.5grs of of 4831 with 168 gr TSX seated .050 off the lands. Please work up to this load.

sounds good i will give them a try. i just loaded some 180 bt and some 200 smk with 64gr of imr 4350. i only have 20 rounds out of it with win 150bst and the group was a little on the large size 1 3/4" at 100 but I'm shore it will get smaller with some good loads.

My load shoots .5 or better at 100 yds and .7 at 200 yards out of a rechambered Sendero.

180 gr SMK
70.3 gr WXR
215M magnum primers

Velocity is 3000 fps.
