300 SAUM on savage standard shank

Ive done some research on calibers for standard shank savages. Most of what i have found was people attempting 338 lapuas on standard shank actions. I would like to build a 300 SAUM off of a savage 110 long action. I know that savages used large shanks for WSM calibers but I dont see why a standard wouldnt handle a SAUM. Any info would be great. Thanks
