Below are results from my seating depth test. What do you think? I'm tempted to try .02 & .03 next.

300 Rum
H1000
88 grains
215M
230 Berger
Nosler brass x1 fired
.01, .04, and .08 off lands

I agree... I might back down around 87 or 87.5 and try there...

I haven't tried retumbo but did find some n570 I plan to try soon.

WHICH 230 BERGERS? OTM or Target hybrids??

I'm primarily a 215 guy but a CCI 250 has worked better in a few instances, might be worth a shot sometimes it brings a ES down

The hybrid target 230s

I might try that... I think I'm going to back off charge and see what happens also in terms of SD

For 250 yards and brass only being once fired, your results aren't bad but for ES/SD, which you can tweak your load to address. Based on your results, I'd try .06 off and then test OCW. A wise man once said, vertical stringing is tied to powder charge and horizontal is seating depth (assuming shooter is doing their part).

It's also try more of a spread with seating depth tests. Berger has this published all over the place but it works very well. For quick reference, start .010 off and then test at .050, .090, and finally somewhere between .110 and .130 off (depending on bullet). These are huge gaps but will quickly tell you were to focus your fine tuning.
