Thanks CMP70306, I have not had the new barrel done yet and was told the feed rails may be different from the 300 H&H feed rails and may be in the same spot. Like Craig H I may go to detatchable magazine route. Not sure yet.
With the money I have spent I could have bought a new rifle and have money in my pocket.

The mag is a MDT 3.850 300WM. The first one will load, and this is what happens next.

It all started with a 1893 lee enfield. Single shot, falling block, 303. I put a Williams peep sight, and ran 1000 rounds through it. Bench rest and it did 1 1/4 inch group at 100 yrds.
