30-78 weatherby load data with 185 grain Berger VLD

Does anyone have a load they prefer for 185 Bergers in a 30-378 wthby?

Capture, welcome to the forum. Check the custom search top right. I have been following the detailed info for 30/378 using the Berger bullets posted by "Broz". My 30/378 shoots the 210 gr very well and I am looking locally for the 215 gr. Good luck

Not sure about the Berger 185's...... but I loaded my Accumark with 107 grains of Retumbo with the 180 Accubonds. . The 107gr retumbo load is fairly hot. So start at least 2-3 grains lower if using Retumbo..The best load I found for my rifle is 98gr of H1000 the 215 Bergers and H1000 with Federal 215M Primers This load isn't hot but shoots real well in my gun and is easy on brass. This is the same load Broz used in his 30-378 but with a 210gr Berger.......Dave

Thanks for responding I would like to try the 210 hedgers but have 500 185 s to use up. I will try the load recommendation with retumbo. Thanks for responding!

capture, you could sell or trade the 185's to fonance the 210's. I'm sure someone is looking for 185's.
