280AI Loads

I just bought my son a 280AI and want to reload the rounds that we are going to be shooting. I have just any of the primers from CCI 200, and 250, Fed 210, and 210M and 215M's and Winchester WLRM. I want to use either IMR 4955, RL17, IMR4350, IMR4155, or RL26. For bullets i have 140 accubond, and eventually will be going to 160gr accubonds

I'm just not seeing much for loads that i'm liking, Anybody using any for these components and have a good load that they are willing to share.

I'm not much help here but I shoot 120 gr Barnes tsx in mine. It loves h4831sc and reloder 22. Reloder 26 might give some impressive speeds

I just got he RL26 this morning off Powder Valley, I also have RL23, i dont have H4831 but from what i've found is that the IMR4955 is pretty comparable

Lsherm led me to rl-23. good speeds and uniform accuracy. Rl-26 was equal to 4831 and 4831 sc group wise.

H4831sc with a 140gr accubond or ballistic tip works wonders

I've been loading the 140gr Accubond in my 280AI. Nosler case, 62gr H4831sc, fed 210m. I cant remember the velocity. This is the only powder that I ever tried in this rifle.

I'm using H100V in my 280 AI with the 154 AH Deadblow. Gets me 3160 FPS out of a 24" IBI.

I have used RL26 and H100v with good success but have settled on H4350 as the best in mine. Even with a 1/9 twist I top out at 162gr eldx as heaviest I can stabilize. 150gr accubonds shoot great as well. awesome caliber, probably my favorite

I user Reloder 26 and Federal 210s in my 280 AI. I load them behind Berger 180-grain VLDHs to just over 3,000 fps.

I have had my 280AI for 4 years and killed well over 400 animals. My favorite load is 62.5 grains of 7828ssc w/140grain Nosler Accubond and new nosler brass using Fed 210. Typical velocity is 3220 fps. Never felt the need to go to 160 grain bullets. Only had shoot 1 animal twice. Just be careful and work up to that load. My rifle is a custom rifle w/very tight tolerances. I have used RL22, H4831sc and RL26 in the past close to that quantity of powder.
