Working up an elk load for my 280AI. Struggling to find loads for Barnes 150 TTSX.

Hodgdon website has max H4831SC at 57.5 gr, so will work up to that. Also have RL22 on hand and want to try, but can't find any data. Anyone shoot RL22 with this bullet?

Will also try Nosler 160AB with initial reloads at 55.5-58 gr H4831SC and 57-59gr RL22.

Welcome any thoughts, thanks!

Don't forget about trying Swift 150g. Sirocco bullets. Works good with either VV165 or H4831.

Wife's 280AI we decided to use 150gr bullets and she shot BT,Partition using Nosler data for H-4831SC and start was 56.5gr/H-4831sc max 60.5gr @ 2994fps test barrel 26" long. Next year I found some 150gr Barnes TSX and decide to again use Nosler data and worked up to 60.5gr/H-4831sc @ 2912fps and used that load deer/elk till she quit hunting.

I don't hunt with her rifle but like to shoot it so still shooting 150gr TSX after found it like that bullet I got 7 boxes so anyway been playing around again with Nolser data 61gr/IMR-7828 @ 3048fps.

I've had pretty good luck over the years using Nosler and Hodgdon data and big difference between the two for the 280AI.

My 280AI been hunting with 160gr AB using R-17 or IMR- 7828ssc and last winter tried Berger 168gr/180gr VLD using H-4831ssc. I'm also member on Nosler site might want to try over there.
