Anyone shooting a 280 AI and IMR8133 with 175s or 180s? The numbers look very fast with a bullet that heavy.

I played with this powder in my 7mm rem mag and berger 175s. Hit pressure around 72.5grs @3075fps in a 26" barrel. Best accuracy for me was 70grs @2930fps. ES was pretty decent, 20fps or so in my loads. Seemed to leave lots of powder fouling in my barrel and accuracy would suddenly drop off. I was able to achieve similar performance with both Retumbo (a bit less powder) and RL33 (a bit more powder).

The SAAMI 3.340" length might be met better with 168 Grain JLK and RL-26 powder giving a velocity and Ballistic Advantage over slower 180 Grain Bullets. Swampy advertises the G-1 B.C. as .690. I am sorry I don't have any info. on your current bullet selections. It takes quite a bit of powder to get 175-180 grain bullets moving.
