280 ai barrel marking

Would 280 a.i.s.be sufficient for marking a 280ai sammi barrel. Hate to put just 280ai without having sammi or nosler on it.

If it's a SAAMI chamber, I mark .280 Ackley Improved (SAAMI). If it's a traditional chamber, I mark it .280 Ackley Improved (Traditional). Some may not understand the s on your proposed designation. You can't take anything for granted when it comes to chambering marking.
