Will be conducting seating depth tests next once weather clears no pressure signs at all fwiw

Could that velocity spike at 59.5 grains be considered a pressure sign?

I accidentally posted twice, glitch from phone i think.

Interesting. I've been thinking about the BD2 as a possible pill to try in a 280AI. I'm running an 8 twist in a 24" barrel. Peterson brass and most likely H4831SC with CCI BR2's will be in the mix. I would love to get 2900+ fps with good accuracy with the BD2. I guess I need to quit thinking and place an order.

Thanks for the report. Wonder where R26 would get you? I also run a 23" barrel 280AI, but have not tried the SBD2.

From my old rig it added about 100-150 fps more depending on bullet but living in Northern California it can be HOT during rifle season and I've had RL26 spike in the heat so in playing it safe with the h4831 and I've always had better groups with the h4831 just with my experience

Makes sense. No worries with R26 here in Manitoba. I never shoot above 75 degrees. But do hunt as low as -30!! I used H4831 in my Cooper 280AI with 168 Berger's. It's a great powder.

Yeah man RL26 should treat you well I was able to get 2800 fps with the 180eldms out of a 24" tube with my old 280ai

try rl23, 58.5gr 210M yields 3080fps out of my kimber 280ai mtn ascent with 160gr mcguire ballistics copper rose bullet 24" barrel. Sorry to hijack thread. Good luck.
