Hey folks. Guy I know has one of these Weatherby 280 s for sale. He claims he cant find ammo for it. Anyone have any insight on this cartridge and the possibilities of finding ammo for this rifle ?

There's some on gunbroker , none on Ammoseek , it's out there .

Probably the biggest negative of the 280 AI is the shortage of factory loaded ammo. Kind of a rule is, if you handload, the 280 AI is great. If you don't load, the 7mm RM is probably a better choice.
