I jumped up to a 28 nosler from a 7mm rem mag roughly 2 years ago and have never looked back.
I still have the rem mag but every time i go out hunting i always reach into the cabinet for the nosler.
Ive never really had any issues finding an accurate load for it.
I load retumbo in mine and drive the 195gr EOL bergers right around 3040ish fps with a 26inch 1:8.5 twist barrel, which is faster than my rem mag was shooting the berger 180 hybrids out of the same length barrel.
For me in my experience the 28 nosler has worked out to be a great hunting caliber and i have taken large red deer with it out to 750yds with no issues
