Hey Guys,

So I happened across a great deal on a 270 Weatherby built on an Interarms Mark X barrel. Has anyone worked up loads with the 165/175 gr Matrix bullets? I'm guessing that H1000 will be where the velocity is at with this combo. . .

Any thoughts?

Thanks all and God bless,

Adam

i have been shooting the 165 grain matrix in my 270 wby and using H-1000 using up to 73 grains but my rifle is very forgiving so drop way down and work up that losd is getting around 3080 fps

I actually don't have the rifle yet. It is a 26" barrel, and I presume a 1:10" twist. My 270 Win at 7200' will stabilize the 175's, so I'm hoping this will also.

Did you get your gun?

My Mag length with this bullet is 3.36"

I touch the lands at 3.4" with this bullet with a 28" Benchmark barrel.

So far I am happy with H1000...cannot get too much more in the case with H1000...

Start with 72 grs of H1000. I stopped at 3300+ fps and had good results around 3225fps...
