I got a really nice semi custom 264 win. I was wondering anyone use 140 balistic tips? Bear and deer for now. Any actual real worl experience? Thanks…..used this years ago for a bit..thinking of dusting the cobwebs off and resurrecting its

Here there B-man, not exactly the same but the bullet I've used most out of my 7 Mashburn Super is the 150 NBT. I generally run it in the 3200-3250 range (can do more but this is plenty...)

Other than our use of our 22/250 on Big Game I've used this 150 NBT combo more than any other combo going. It is one vicious killing mofo, and to date I've never had one stay in an elk, or anything smaller.

I think the 264 with the 140 NBT @ 3150-3200 will be a killing machine Plus P!

I have a custom 1:8"twist 26" barrel shooting 156 EOL, 75gr of retumbo gets them going 3050. They have flattened every bears and deer I've shot at, 60yards out to 740yrds. I'm sure the 140NBT will do just fine.

I have no experience with the 140 NBT however I have used the 120 NBT on whitetail and coyotes with great success since Nosler introduced them
I think the 140 would equal or exceed the 120 in the 264
I also use the 120 NBT in a model 7 in 260 REM

It can be but I load a mild load (best group in my rifle) and probably 80% pass thru but I have had no exit on some
No problems as long as I do my part
I am using on 140-220 # whitetail
I would probably rethink on larger game

You know now that think of I, I killed a cow elk with 125 Partition at 300 yards with my 6.5x270 encore pistol, a big 6pt whitey. A cow with a 140 SST at 300 yards too, but the SST was very poor performance. My dad knew a guy named Grosee out of NM that killed over 75 head of elk with 264 and 125 PT. Up to 500 yards. I got tons of 26 caliber components. Maybe I'll try the 140 for bears?

A little off topic, but I use 140 grain Sierra Gamekings in my 6.5 x 55 @ 2700 fps, kills deer & wild boar great, they do run about 10 -30 yards, great blood trails too.
