I know you said Varget with 120's but I have had great results with 100 NBT's and slower powders. In the past I used 4895 and 4350 (both IMR) and accuracy was great 1/2 MOA of better at times, but the bullets were bearly tearing the paper with signs of presure
I went to R-19 and 22 and WOW! R-19 is going 3100 and R-22 broke 3200. It's a Rem 700 24" clasic in a HS sporter stock. I settled on the max load of R-19 and It works great out to 400 yards often holding 3 shot groups right around 3" I wouldn't rule out the slower powders even more so with those 120's
